trusting God

Trusting God. Easy to want to do, harder to put into practice. Sooo much harder to put into practice at times, especially for little control freaks like me. I don’t know what you are going through right now that requires trusting God (job, marriage, singleness, kids, parents, money, location), but I am posting these verses as a reminder to you and especially to me that our God is trustworthy.

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in all you do, everywhere you go; He’s the one who will keep you on track.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 (MSG)

“When I am afraid I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?”

Psalm 56:3-4 (NIV)

“Oh, the depths of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!”

Romans 11: 33 (NIV)

“Cast all your anxiety upon him because he cares for you.”

I Peter 5:7 (NIV)

My prayer today is that you and I will really believe and act as though God is who He says He is in our lives.

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, amen.”

    Ditto Becky’s comment! There’s nothing quite like the Word of God to cut through all my excuses, defenses and blame-shifting, and get right down to the state of my heart. THANK YOU for His Word and for reminding me (again) that God is trustworthy!

    I think i’m a writer, but I’ve got nothing on the Holy Spirit. Thanks for posting Scripture. It’s the best encouragement, comfort, and hope there is.

    Thanks for the truth of God’s Word. Was that “the message” - I like how Prov. 3:5-6 was worded.
