If you are a woman who attended UPC on Sunday you recieved a little gold box filled with four squares of chocolate. If you missed the morning announcements then you may have wondered, ‘what’s up with the chocolate?’ So, I thought I’d let you know!

The back of the sanctuary looks like main street. “The Chocolate Shoppe” is what we’ve chosen to represent our community of women at church and if you are reading this blog then you already know that it’s “Craving Grace Like Chocolate“…..and then today at church you were given a box of chocolates. (Are you seeing a theme here, ladies?)

Women’s Ministry is like a box of chocolates…..you never know what you’re going to get. But we’d like to think there’s something for everyone! So the four pieces of chocolate represent what we are offering to you this year. (for those statistical nerds out there..we unwrapped 1400 pieces of chocolate and in assembly line fashion put them in boxes…think I love Lucy rerun!)

1. Bible Studies
-our weekly Bible studies start next week and we have a great selection of morning and evening classes. You can find out about these by going to the UPC website.
But we know that these studies don’t work for everyone so in Febuary we will offer Grab and Grow. The idea is that you Grab 3 friends and commit to grow together for about 8 weeks by reading the book study Strong Women Soft Heart. Then when everyone is finished we will meet to discuss what God taught us during those weeks. If you want to commit to Grab and Grow please email me and let me know: ruthdelk@earthlink.net

2. Craving Grace Womens Event,
Februrary 23-24
at UPC. SAK Comedy Theatre (think, Whose Line Is it Anyway?) will entertain us on Friday, and on Saturday you get to choose from 12 breakout sessions that will be followed by a Panera lunch. More details coming soon!

3.
Simply Soul
our monthly gathering of women around the Word meets on 3rd Sundays of every month at 6pm. We have an opportunity to hear some great teaching and break into small groups. Check out the monthly topics on the UPC website.

4.
Sept 2007
Beach Retreat at the Cocoa Hilton-Plan to be there! Even if you only come for the most comfortable beds in the world. Trust me, they are awesome! But the retreat will be too!

Okay, that was long. At least now you know why you got the chocolate! We hope there’s something for everyone!
