I was thrilled to hear these brownies were a big hit at the Craving Grace Event. I got the recipe from Covenant College’s cookbook (they’re called “Thunkies Double Chocolate Brownies” in that cookbook, but I thought the name was too long!!) They’ve been a winner every time I make them, and are especially good hot out of the oven with some vanilla icecream.
Super Chocolate Brownies
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1 cup oil
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups chocolate chips
Mix dry ingredients, add wet ingredients. Add chocolate chips, and mix it all together. Pour into greased 9×13 pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

I made these brownies tonight and Rob and I ate half the pan. I feel a little sick from eating so many all at once, but it was worth it. These are the best brownies, homemade or store bought, EVER!!!

i thought the brownies were wonderful too! But one pan had a “dark Chocolate” look. What made them different? They looked almost sinful. =o)

Tammy, a lot of different people made brownies, and were supposed to use the same recipe. But maybe someone made them with dark chocolate chips - you could try that if you wanted.

According to our “brownie cooks” for the event you need to take them out of the oven at 30 min. even if you don’t THINK they are done. They will set and be just right! Yum

These brownies are amazing! I made them for the college girls, and they were a big hit!
