Summer Time Fun

Summer is here, in Orlando at least. Although it’s been unusually cooler than normal. But hey, I’m not complaining! I think we’ll be slowing down our posts for the summer. People are traveling, kids are at home, and I at least would rather be outside instead of on my computer. But I will still post because I’ll be here most of the summer and I’m really looking forward to it.

I’ve been traveling a lot all year and to be home for 2 months in a row is a MAJOR delight for me. This weekend my sister-in-law, her husband and 3 girls are coming to visit for the weekend. And I can’t wait to see my nieces! They are too cute!!!

And for the rest of my summer until mid July, I’m going to make it to the beach as often as possible. I have years that I never go and years that I’m always there. I’m making this a year that I’ll be at the beach. Feel free to join me.

Those are my summer plans. Do you have any big summer plans?

I’ll go to the beach with you. Just tell me the day before so I can plan ahead and get my troops ready. I think we should go inner tubing at the Springs, too. Anyone else want to go?

Tubing sounds really fun! We’d love to go if the times work out for us.

In response to your post, Patricia, summer for me - a mom of a kid not in school yet - is no different than the rest of the year, except that it’s hotter and the parks are overrun with 4th graders!

Yay! Call me anytime…for beach, springs, or just hangin’ out. Summer for teachers is pretty darn close to heaven. :)

We are going to Colorado for the whole month of July. Actually the last few days of it we will be in California. I’m really looking forward to it! And so are the kids. They can’t wait to see the mountains!

I’ll be in Colorado in mid-July with the rest of the CCC world, but other than that, no big trips planned. Last summer, Andrea & I went to Hawaii (had to throw that in there!), so compared to that, this summer seems like it might be a drag…. . I’m hoping to take some fun weekend trips though.
