During a game night in our small group this question was posed to us…Would you be upset if your make up was taken away for a whole month? What do you think?

Not one bit. I hate the stuff and do my best not to wear it. (But it’s not like I’m going around winning any beauty pageants or anything……I definitely see the value of makeup, but for me, it’s a huge chore.)

See, now, I’m attached to my make up. I would be upset if it was taken away for a whole month. I don’t ALWAYS wear it. At least not to the grocery store at night or if I have to leave super early in the morning or if I’m home all day. But if it’s just a normal day out I feel weird without it…kind of like I didn’t brush my hair or take a shower. It’s just part of the daily ritual.

This’ll probably come as no surprise since many of you see me regularly, but I don’t usually wear make-up. I usually do to church, though. There was a period of about 4 months this past winter when I ran out of foundation and was too lazy to get more, so I actually didn’t wear any for that long. So, I guess I can live without it. I’m actually sort of afraid of make-up, because I don’t feel very knowledgeable about what colors look right and I don’t have much talent when applying it. Yeah, I’m like an 11 year old.

I won’t die of embarrassment if I don’t wear my make up, but I’m with Pam, I feel totally exposed without. I guess that’s a pretty sad statement, huh? Sounds like I’m hiding behind it. But then, in a way I probably am….hmmm…interesting. I’ll have to toss this around in my little brain for a while. What am I hiding from?

Well, I threw away my 10+ year old make up recently in an effort to get rid of stuff I don’t use. I used to wear it (especially for special occasions like church and my weddding!!), but am too lazy now. And since I haven’t worn it in so long, when I’ve tried it for fun it just makes my face feel weird.

I would be fine without my make up. The truth is that I (like Anna) am kind of afraid of it. I do usually wear some eye shadow for work (since I have a real job now), but I only know one way of applying it…so it looks the same every day.

I could probably live without it if everyone else did.
Seriously, I wear it because I feel like I look too plain without it. I think because of my youthful look already, I feel more “grown-up” when I wear make-up. Not that I wear that much, because I don’t. But I love having color on my cheeks and eyeliner. And I recently switched to Bare Minerals and it is awesome! Can’t feel it at all.

I wouldn’t die but I wear it most every day. I use Bare Escentuals too and I dust a little powder on with some mascara and lip gloss. I would feel weird without it

No problem! Not surprised, I’m sure!
