I’ve had a couple recipes from the “Submit a Recipe” button - keep them coming. This is the latest one, and it sounds delicious.

Lindsey says: “This recipe is an easy side dish that is quick to put together. It is also my good friend Karin’s favorite!”

Baked New Potatoes from Lindsey Enlowpotatifries4.jpg

Ingredients:
-New Potatoes (aka red potatoes)
-1 pkt. Hidden Valley ranch dressing mix (not the dip mix)
- 1/8 cup olive oil

Directions:
-preheat oven to 350*
-cut potatoes into small, bite size peices
-place cut pieces into large ziplock bag
-add dressing pkt. and olive oil
-shake well
-put into 8×8 baking dish
-bake on 350* for 1 hour
-stir several times while baking

This dish goes well with most meats and fish. It is always a crowd pleaser at my house.

GodTube
June 7th, 2007

You’ve probably heard of YouTube, right? Well, I just discovered a site called GodTube. A place for Christian Video sharing. Maybe not a bad idea considering the not-so-appropriate stuff that can be found on YouTube.

I originally found this through this sweet blog, “She Plants a Vineyard”. They posted this hilarious video that is a spoof of “Baby Got Back”. It’s titled, “Baby Got Bible”. So, I hope you enjoy a good laugh today. :-)

Caption, anyone?

I took this picture in our backyard on Saturday, and it made me laugh.  I think it’s time for another caption contest.  Once again, the winner gets a pat on the back, and the satisfaction of knowing they are witty.

Salad recipes

28471289_cf992fd197_o.jpgOne of the blogs that I keep up with is the the GirlTalk blog. It is written by Carolyn Mahaney and her 3 grown daughters. They are very solid Biblically, practical, and have a lot of good advice. They also have a pretty good “Friday funny” section!!

A couple months ago, a few of you put in a request for more salad/vegetable recipes. Girltalk did a series last week on summer salads. So I thought I’d just link you to them for our recipe of the week.

Check out all of their salads: here, here, here and here - 10 salads in all (so I shouldn’t have to post something “healthy” for a long time now!!!)
