So, I am not sure which letter we would be. I guess C but we are being more careful.
We have a smaller car that gets better gas mileage and we have been taking that out on the weekends instead of our gas guzzling SUV. The kids think it is fun!
We also have been much more intentional about our errands. Trying to get all the things we need if we are on a particular side of town.
Also, just going to free movie, free bowling and the swimming pool. All of which are close to our house so we have very cheap entertainment.

Luckily we work from home so we’re not driving so much. But I am carpooling when I can. Plus I walk to the grocery store if I’m not doing a big buy. It’s a 5 minute walk.
@Jennifer: Free bowling? Where do you find that?

I, too, want to know about the free bowling!
My husband works only 3 miles from home, and we don’t drive too much because it’s a hassle to go out with a new baby. I only fill my tank once a month!
Have you guys heard of a concept dubbed “hypermiling’? It’s about stretching every drop of gas to get the really high gas mileage. They’ve got some pretty good ideas that my husband has since adopted! Check it out at hypermiling.com.

Patricia and Anna, there is free bowling during the summer at Boardwalk Bowl only during the weekdays (Mon-Fri) between 9am-5pm. It’s mainly for the kids…I don’t think it applies to adults. They are entitled to one free game per day and there is a sign off sheet that you fill out with your child’s info and you bring it with you everytime you go. They sign off each date you use it. I found out about it last summer and it was great for my kids! Whenever you need a cool place indoors to take your kids too, especially when they’re bored, it makes a terrific summer afternoon activity!

Becky is right about Boardwalk Bowl but we found out that Firkin and Kegler (right behind the movie theater in Waterford) does the same thing during the summer and it is closer to our house. It is for kids and includes shoe rental.

I was going to post something here about what we are doing to save gas but I am still so in shock that Anna fills up only once a month..that I am rendered speechless.

I guess I am a “C” as well. Although, I am trying super hard to make sure and consolidate my errands and get most of it done while already out on that side of town.
