This year we, Orlando, are going to have outdoor ice skating! And to this woman who grew up ice skating and skiing that’s music to my ears. I’ve been desiring to ice skate for over a year. Light up UCF is…
Orlando’s newest and most affordable holiday tradition offering the area’s biggest free holiday light show, free outdoor Holiday Film Festival and Orlando’s only outdoor skating rink. Open daily from November 14 until January 2. Come early and skate late. Parking is Free and skating tickets are just $10 and can be purchased at the UCF Arena Box Office or in advance at www.lightupucf.com.
This starts Friday so make your plans now! I’ll definitely be going.

That sounds like a cool idea! Is the rink at UCF? We live right behind there, so it would be really close for us if we went. Sounds fun…and I’m glad it is supposed to be a new, annual tradition that they are starting!

Natalie loves ice-skating. In fact, she just told me the other day that she wanted to go. We have only taken her once because all the rinks in Orlando are so far from here. So, this should be good.

Becky: the ice rink will directly in front of the UCF Arena on the north side of campus. Infact, its already setup and I got a “break the ice” skating ticket for tomorrow. The rink opens to the public on friday… The $10 includes ice skating along with skate rentals. They are hoping you stay there to eat a meal or two… a new restaurant is also opening there friday.
